"Give the Five a try, they're easier than you think"

The Five Ways to Wellbeing are:

  1. Connect - Build close relationships with others by socialising and broadening networks.
  2. Give - Doing something nice for others like thanking someone, smiling or volunteering your time. These acts create connections with other people around you and give us a sense of purpose and self-worth.
  3. Keep Learning - It is important to keep learning through all stages of life, so learn or try something new.
  4. Be Active - Being active improves mood and keeps your body healthy.
  5. Take Notice - Be aware of your surroundings, be in the moment and take notice of your feelings and things around you.

Each of the Five Ways have proven benefits for improving psychological and emotional wellbeing. You might try:

In partnership with South Western Sydney Local Health District, students work to raise awareness and understanding of mental health, wellbeing and encourage young people to seek help. The video below is one example of the student projects.

Networks - The South Western Sydney Wellbeing Collaboration is a network of people and organisations committed to improving wellbeing in South Western Sydney. Sign up here to receive the latest news.
