Using the FRAIL Scale:

Staying strong and independent as you age is important for your health and wellbeing. The FRAIL Scale is a simple 5‑question check that helps you understand your current level of frailty and where you may benefit from extra support. It takes less than 2 minutes and can help you spot early changes before they become bigger problems.

Adapted from Morley and colleagues (2012) FRAIL Scale and the current research literature.

What to do next:

  • Bring your score to your GP, physiotherapist, or health professional.

  • Explore gentle strength, balance, and walking activities to stay active and independent.

  • Visit our Healthy Ageing pages for tips, exercises, and local programs near you.

This checklist does not replace medical advice. If you're worried about your strength, balance, or recent changes in your health, please speak with a health professional.
